Dylan is a Lecturer in Zoo and Wildlife Pathology. He is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) and leads the exotic species diagnostic pathology service at the RVC. In his role he teaches on the BSc/MSci Biological Sciences (Wildlife Health Sciences) course, contributes to the diagnostic pathology service and conducts research and disease surveillance on UK wildlife.

Dylan’s research interests are in wildlife health and disease, specifically UK urban wildlife. He is currently collaborating on a number of wildlife disease surveillance projects alongside colleagues from the Zoological Society of London and the University of Oxford’s Wildlife Conservation Research Unit (WildCRU).

Dylan is the module leader for the Wild Animal Biology module of the BSc/MSci in Biological Sciences (Wildlife Health Sciences) course, on which he lectures on general and wildlife pathology and health. In addition to teaching undergraduate students he supervises the BVetMed pathology rotation and contributes to the training of anatomic pathology residents.

Investigating facial and limb abnormalities in European Hedgehogs (Erinaceus europaeus)
This project aims to describe the features and investigate the cause of a rare syndrome causing facial and limb abnormalities in European Hedgehogs (Erinaceus europaeus) across the UK and EU.
