I joined the College in June 1995 as a research scientist working with Professor Peter Chantler on myosin proteins. The work also involved liaising with Peter’s many collaborators, both in UK and overseas.

I was Initially trained as a carbohydrate chemist developing artificial sugars (sucralose/SPLENDA) in collaboration with Johnson & Johnson (USA) and Tate & Lyle Group Research & Development (Whiteknights, Reading). I joined Queen Elizabeth College (now King's College London) in 1987 and trained as a molecular biologist with Dr Keith Dudley. After completion of training (3 year grant)  I joined The Randall Institute (King's College London, Drury Lane), running their central molecular biology facility from 1989 - 1994.

I was appointed as a research administrator in 2004 joining Research Support Office in research grant administration and currently support college wide staff in research grant procurement and administration.

Current role includes  assisting in procurement of research equipment and VAT related issues, and dealing with UK Customs.
