Teaching Fellow in Veterinary Nursing.
Lauren qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse from the University of Bristol, graduating with 1st class honours in Veterinary Nursing and Bioveterinary Science. She then assumed a role as a theatre nurse at the University of Cambridge's Queen's Veterinary School Hospital.
An opportunity arose for Lauren to work as a research assistant with a Comparative Immunogenetics research group in the Department of Pathology and a Disease Dynamics research group in the Department of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Cambridge, and engaged with projects centered on Major Histocompatibility Complex of chickens and bats.
Following this, Lauren moved into a teaching position as Lecturer and Course Director of FdSc/BSc Veterinary Nursing and Applied Animal Behaviour at University Centre of West Anglia (partnered with Anglia Ruskin University). Lauren continued in a clinical role in an out of hours capacity at a first opinion practice.
Lauren then became a Teaching Fellow in Veterinary Nursing at the Royal Veterinary College, and is currently working towards her Postgraduate Certificate in Veterinary Education, and fellowship status with the Higher Education Academy.

Lauren is a Teaching Fellow in Veterinary Nursing and co-deputy course director of the BSc/FdSc degrees in Veterinary Nursing. Lauren is co-leader of Year 3, and co-module leader of The Professional Veterinary Nursing and Academic and Professional Development 3. She is also deputy module leader of Theatre Practice, a Year 2 module.
Lauren teaches across all years of the Veterinary Nursing FdSc/BSc and is a Final Year Project supervisor (Year 4). She is also involved in teaching on the Fundamentals in Advanced Veterinary Nursing Practice module in the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Nursing .
