Marie trained in small animal general practice in Hertfordshire. Once qualified she spent a number of years in general practice before moving to the RVC, Queen Mother Hospital (QMH).

Whilst working at the QMH Marie developed an interest in medical nursing and gained the diploma in advanced veterinary nursing (medical). She then went on to complete BSc (Hons) in veterinary nursing and a teaching qualification.

Marie currently works at the RVC as Senior teaching fellow in veterinary nursing within the Centre of Veterinary Nursing.

When it comes to clinical nursing her passion is with all things medical and she has a particular interest in endocrine diseases.

Marie qaulified in 1997, she then moved to the RVC's Queen mother hospital where she worked as a medicine nurse whilst studying for the Diploma in advanced veterinary nursing in medicine which she obtained in 2001. In 2002 Marie left the RVC to work as a lecturer in Veterinary nursing during which she gained her Certificate in Education (2002) and her BSc (Hons) in veterinary nursing in 2007. 

In 2016, Marie returned to the RVC joining the VN team as a senior teaching fellow in Veterinary nursing.

Marie primarily delivers anatomy and physiology teaching to first year undergraduate veterinary nursing students.
