Theofanis (Fanis) graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) in 2015 with first-class honours. After fullfiling his one-year national military service and completing a one-year internship in small animal medicine at his alma mater, he moved to the UK. He, then, spent two and a half years as a neurology intern at Dick White Referrals (2017/2018) and as a junior neurology clinician at Small Animal Hospital of University of Glasgow (2019/2020) and Hospital for Small Animals of the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies of University of Edinburgh (2021). In summer 2021, he started his ECVN Residency in Veterinary Neurology & Neurosurgery at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals of the Royal Veterinary College, Uninversity of London. Fanis is also an EAEVE/FVE European System of Evaluation of Veterinary Training (ESEVT) Practitioner Expert since 2016 participating actively in the veterinary curricula evaluation visiting several veterinary schools in Europe. Fanis is interested in all research aspects of veterinary neurology & neurosurgery, with special interest in vestibular disease, movement disorders, sleep disorders, neuro-ophthalmology, and clinical reasoning.
