Memory Tree hits £100,000 milestone
Our beautiful Memory Tree, which takes pride of place in the RVC Small Animal Referrals Hospital, has reached a remarkable milestone by raising over £100,000 since it gained its first leaf seven years ago. This special tree is a wonderful way to remember and celebrate the lives of beloved pets, while helping to raise funds for lifesaving treatment and care at the RVC’s hospitals.
Our Memory Tree is a reminder of the powerful bonds we make with our faithful pets. The tree is adorned with gold, silver, and bronze leaves, each of which can be engraved with a bespoke message as a lasting tribute to their memory.
Funds raised have helped purchase cutting-edge equipment for the hospitals, including a cardiac ultrasound machine. This vital equipment enables the RVC cardiology team and Cardiothoracic Service to perform ultrasounds on patients in the operating theatre and on those too sick to be moved from the ICU. For the first time, cardiac ultrasounds can now be carried out simultaneously in the clinic and in operating theatres, ensuring more pets receive the critical care they need.
As our Memory Tree continues to grow, so does the impact of our supporters’ generosity. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has dedicated a leaf and helped us reach this £100,000 milestone. Thank you, every leaf creates an enduring legacy of love by supporting the future of veterinary care.
For just £10 a month you can create a meaningful legacy for your pet that has real impact on animals in need.
