The Bloomsbury Colleges Consortium brings together Bloomsbury Colleges of the University of London comprising Birkbeck, Institute of Education (IOE), London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), Royal Veterinary College (RVC), and SOAS.  Every year the Consortium awards PhD studentships for collaborative projects between the Colleges.

On 21st June 2016 Bloomsbury studentship holders  met and presented their work to one another and their supervisors as part of the annual Bloomsbury PhD symposium to highlight the variety of work and disciplines that have been supported by the Consortium.

The day consisted of:

-First and second year students delivered presentations

-Third and fourth year students submitted posters

-The best posters won an award of £100

-The final session offered a perspective from supervisors on collaboration and interdisciplinarity
