Congratulations to Dr Marthe Ludtmann who has received the Young Bioenergeticist Award from the Biophysical Society at the annual meeting in San Francisco. Marthe received this award in recognition of her work over the last 5 years in the field of bioenergetics and neurodegeneration. 

Marthe presented her work on alpha-synuclein, a protein that turns pathogenic in Parkinson’s disease, and its role in mitochondrial function, at the meeting.
