QMHA - A state-of-the-art hospital
Continuous investment in advanced equipment and our team, as well as cutting-edge research, enables us to push the boundaries of veterinary medicine and small animal surgery.
The Queen Mother Hospital for Animals (QMHA), the base of RVC Small Animal Referrals, is one of the largest and most advanced veterinary hospitals in the world. The hospital is a purpose-built facility just north of the M25 and near Potters Bar, Hertfordshire. This makes it within easy reach of London, the home counties and East Anglia.
Within the hospital, the Intensive Care Unit, anaesthetic induction and prep rooms, state-of-the-art operating theatres, blood donor programme and hydrotherapy pool are among the facilities that helps the RVC lead the way in small animal referral services. The exceptional Emergency Referrals and Critical Care services has enabled the QMHA to become one of a small number of veterinary trauma centres in the world.
