I already have a mental health diagnosis, what support can I get?
In addition to your GP and specialist NHS support services;
if you have a diagnosed mental health condition that has been present, or is likely to be present for 12 months or more; you are eligible for further support to help you manage your mental health condition alongside your study. This support is likely to include mentoring.
If you are a UK student, some support is provided via the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA).
If you are an International student this support is provided by the RVC. For further information about how to apply for support for your mental health, please contact
the Advice Centre: disability@rvc. ac.uk Camden: 0207 468 5037 | Hawkshead: 01707 66 7140.
The Disability Adviser is available for appointments. Please email: disability@rvc.ac.uk if you wish to make an appointment.
1.4 Physical Access to the College
Buildings at both the Camden
and Hawkshead campuses are
a mixture of old and new. The Camden campus represents the oldest building at the College and for this reason, access may be limited. The Hawkshead campus, the Eclipse building, Queen Mother Hospital and LIVE centre teaching facilities, for example have a good level of access.
If you have particular access needs, it is imperative you contact the College in advance to arrange an information visit so that you have the opportunity to determine any access issues. The College is engaged in an ongoing programme of developments to improve aspects of the physical estate. It is also recognised that physical access includes more than ramps and lifts and therefore if you have any sound or visual enhancement needs, it would be helpful to know in advance so that these may be arranged for you, if possible.
