Vicki Laing - Head of Alumni Relations and Events

Vicki is the Head of Alumni Relations and Events and is responsible for setting the strategy and vision for Alumni Relations, planning and implementing programmes and projects to engage alumni and provide tangible benefits to alumni and current students.

She secures commitments from alumni to provide professional expertise and volunteer service; collaborates with other RVC departments to create and maintain pathways for alumni participation and works with colleagues in fundraising to encourage giving to the Alumni Fund. 

Working with the Events Manager, she oversees the co-ordination and delivery of the annual calendar of major RVC events.  Vicki is a full member of the Institute of Fundraising and worked at the RVC for over 17 years (in fundraising, events and alumni relations).  She has two children and a small mixed-breed rescue dog called Molly!

Charlotte joined the Alumni Relations team in July 2024, after working in the RVC Small Animal Referral Hospital (QMHA) since 2016. She helps organise alumni events, engages with alumni both online and offline to maintain the alumni community. She coordinates alumni volunteering opportunities such as work experience and placements, mentoring and advice for our current students. She is responsible for the planning, creation and delivery of the annual alumni & community magazine 'Eclipse'. If you have a story you'd like to share - she'd love to hear it!

Mark is responsible for providing administrative support to the Alumni Relations team. Mark joined the RVC in 2014 after previously working at Oaklands College in St Albans.
