Do you have an interest or love for animals? Are you in UK school years 7-11 and from an ethnic minority background? Join our Animal Aspirations Day!
You'll get the chance to learn about careers working with animals, meet others with the same interests, and interact with some of our real live animals too!
Animal Aspirations are a group of students who aim to encourage and inspire the next generation into animal-related professions and we would love to have you join us! In order to apply for the Animal Aspirations Day, you must be from an ethnic minority background, as young people from these backgrounds are currently underrepresented at the RVC.
You are also more likely to be accepted onto the programme if you meet multiple other criteria, such as being eligible for Free School Meals or coming from an area with low participation rates in higher education.
*Please note that all applications will be assessed using a structured rubric. Animal Aspiration's goal is to be as diverse and inclusive as possible with what we do. Eligibility for this event is designed to ensure students who may not typically have access to advice and opportunities within the veterinary profession are prioritised.
Applications will be considered based on factors such as school location, postcode, and access to higher education. This approach allows us to allocate places in a way that supports students from underrepresented backgrounds and helps widen participation in veterinary and animal-related careers.
