Open House (Campus Tours)

Our Open House is an opportunity for prospective students, parents/guardians and advisors to learn about our undergraduate courses and the application process. This is delivered through a Welcome Presentation and student-led tour of our historic Camden Campus, London and/or rural Hawkshead Campus, Hertfordshire. We will have support staff on-hand at both campuses to answer any questions or queries.
The tour of the Camden Campus, London our home since 1791, will showcase our outstanding teaching facilities, laboratories, Anatomy Museum and student wellbeing spaces. This campus is home to all of our BSc and MSci Biological Sciences Pathways (except the final year of our Animal Biology, Behaviour, Welfare and Ethics programme), our Veterinary Gateway programme, Years 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVetMed) programme and Year 1 of our Graduate Accelerated BVetMed.
The tour of our Hawkshead Campus, Hertfordshire, which stretches over 575 acres, will explore our new Student Learning Centre, the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals, The Equine Referral Hospital, clinical teaching facilities, laboratories, sports centre, select on-site accommodation and student wellbeing spaces. This campus is home to all of our Veterinary Nursing Pathways, our final year of the Animal Biology, Behaviour, Welfare and Ethics programme and the final three years of all Veterinary Medicine (BVetMed & BVSc) Pathways.
Campus Location(s) of Undergraduate Degrees:
- Biological Sciences Pathways: Camden Campus, London (The final year of Animal Biology, Behaviour, Welfare & Ethics is taught at Hawkshead Campus, Hertfordshire)
- Veterinary Nursing Pathways: Hawkshead Campus, Hertfordshire
- Veterinary Medicine (BVetMed) Pathways: Camden Campus, London & Hawkshead Campus, Hertfordshire
Choosing Time Slots
If you plan to visit both campuses you are responsible for organising transportation, typically this would take around 1 hour. Travel via train (Kings Cross Station to Potters Bar Station and vice-versa) is highly recommended and as such we suggest selecting slots with at least a 1-1.5 hour gap due to the commute between campuses.
If you have any questions or would like any more information, please email openday@rvc.ac.uk or telephone 020 7468 1257.
